The video "The Learning Myth: Why I'll Never Tell My Son He's Smart" is a very interesting perspective on how people learn and how it could be detrimental to their development to call them that. 

As an elementary school teacher, I want to give my students a base knowledge of everything they're going to need for the rest of their educational career. This video helped, because it went from the perspective that no matter how quickly a student progresses, they still need to learn the basics of each subject to grow in the future.  It's also humbling, because it's true that without elementary school and learning the fundamentals, they will never be able to reach their full potential.
